The numerous patents we have been awarded prove how committed our employees are to innovation. The resulting innovations have also received international acclaim. Our one-hand flip-top cap, for instance, was awarded two prizes in 2003: the German Packaging Prize in the "Prototypes" category and the WorldStar of the World Packaging Organisation. This cap has a worldwide patent and is unique in its application. It is a dual-component cap consisting of PP and TPE and features a TPE press-button opening system enabling easy operation with just one hand.

 

Research and development has always played a vital role at Kutterer Mauer AG. An experienced, closely-knit team in our Research and Development Department is constantly working on new approaches or refining products and processes. Highly-qualified specialists and state-of-the art software instruments ensure from the start that the design of our caps is appropriate for the material involved. 3D design drawings provide the team with the best-possible visual support. We also create custom-made models and prototypes featuring various technologies.

 

If required, we implement mould flow analyses for optimum product and tool design.We additionally provide pilot tools for function or line tests at short notice.
